The day before the leading trade fair and Global Show EUROBIKE starts, two conferences for representatives from industry, the retail trade, urban planning and politics, will be taking place in the EUROBIKE Academy on Tuesday, 30 August, from 1 – 5 p.m. The organizers are Europe’s leading trade magazine “Bike Europe” and the most important lobby for cyclists in Europe, the European Cyclists´ Federation (ECF).
At “Bike Europe‘s” conference “Supply Chain Flexibility” new approaches and possible solutions for the cycle industry will be presented: how production lead time can be accellerated and geared more flexibly to meet the increasingly volatile demands of the customers. Top managers from leading European enterprises in the cycle market, such as Jeroen Both (Accell Group NV), Benno Messingschlager (Messingschlager GmbH & Co. KG), Frederic Van Steirteghem (Decathlon) and Alfred Thun (Alfred Thun GmbH & Co. KG) will explain and interpret the effects the changed buying behaviour of the consumers will have on the bike industry and which challenges it will have to deal with in the future market.
Registration for the Conference is possible via “Bike Europe”. Participation fees amount to
€ 190 plus value added tax, “Bike Europe” subscription holders will receive a 50% discount. The Conference will take place in the Conference Centre East / Raum Berlin at Messe Friedrichshafen.
At the same time the Smarter Cycling Conference organized by the European Cyclists´ Federation will take part, where the focus is on cycling in the age of digital networking. The bike experts will be talking about how urgent it is for the urban planners, the bike industry, research and development scientists to cooperate and exchange knowledge and data to position cycling in the “Smart Cities” of the future even more successfully as an important means of transport.
Please register via ECF. The Conference will take place in the Conference Centre East / Raum Paris at Messe Friedrichshafen.
Following the two Conferences EUROBIKE invites all participants to a get-together in the BIDEX Lounge in the Conference Centre Foyer East.
