EUROBIKE Demo Day offers test rides in the foothills of the Alps
EUROBIKE 2008: Second innovation test trial day before the bicycle trade show opens in Friedrichshafen on Wednesday, 3 September 2008
At the second EUROBIKE Demo Day, test riders will roll through the foothills of the Alps in the Allgäu region. The larger test area in Argenbühl allows for an additional expansion of the exhibition grounds and the new DEMO DAY location is very convenient to reach by car. The bicycle industry, retailers and representatives of the media are invited to attend the second EUROBIKE Demo Day, which will take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 3 September 2008, one day before the international bicycle show (4 to 7 September 2008 )officially opens.
The new area is easily accessible - roughly a 35-minute drive from the exhibition grounds and only three minutes from the A96 that connects Munich with Lindau, Autobahn exit Argenbühl. This location offers enough space to accommodate the large crowds that are expected to attend the second EUROBIKE Demo Day.
This year's test trial day will take place in the foothills of the Alps, in the town of Argenbühl in the Allgäu region. Surrounded by a stunning natural landscape, this area offers ideal testing conditions for all types of bikes - from mountain bikes to racing models and recumbent bicycles. Bike dealers and journalists can either take short test rides or embark on longer day tours, exploring a network of marked trails for hours to test the latest innovations in the industry. Afterwards they can meet with colleagues and philosophize over a beer about their impressions of the bikes. "The new location in Argenbühl meets the strong demand from EUROBIKE exhibitors for more space at DEMO DAY and the need for an improved infrastructure, particularly for the exhibition grounds," says Project Manager Stefan Reisinger.
The first bike testing festival held last year in the village of Eichenberg received an enormous response from the industry. Approximately 1,000 dealers and 300 journalists came to test ride the new bikes. A total of 70 companies were represented in the Vorarlberg region of Austria. For an entire day they checked out the bikes, went on test rides, did some challenging off-trail riding and pored over the latest technological developments with bicycle experts - the DEMO DAY was a highly popular event.
A test riding day always presents an excellent opportunity to do business in a relaxed atmosphere. Manufacturers receive initial feedback from experts, and retailers can try out the bikes before they order. The trade show team aims to motivate the top brands in the sector to attend the test trial day. Invitations to the industry will be sent out over the next few days.
