The trend is very much towards the e-bike, as can be seen in the impressive increase in sales figures in the past few years. More and more regions and tourism services are going into e-bike rental systems to offer their guests added value. Kurt Schär, mastermind and pioneer when it comes to possible tourist amenities and an initiator of numerous cycling projects, will give information on the chances and risks for service providers (regions, hotels, restaurants, rental stations), tour operators (tourist offices, organisers) and suppliers (e-bikes, helmets, battery charging stations etc.).

Kurt Schär is a founding member and managing director of Biketec AG in Switzerland.
