The route to e-bike hire – hire systems comparison

In the workshop Markus Fritsch will give an overview of the various approaches to e-bike rentals. Four presentations will demonstrate the pros and contras of the various systems. The participants will have the opportunity to ask questions or to get first-hand information.

Everybody’s talking about electro-mobility and the market is racing ahead. Major energy enterprises are subsidising pedelecs and tourism is crying out for fast solutions. Electro-mobility should protect our environment and provide us with a tail wind we can enjoy. Are our concepts for this already fully developed or how can they be advanced? Should the various regions simply jump on the band wagon or develop their own ideas in depth? Bernd Reutemann will provide answers to these questions and present new innovative concepts for cities and regions.

Bernd Reutemann
Bernd Reutemann did classical training in hotel management, starting from scratch, followed by business management studies and then worked overseas as a business consultant. His speciality was developing enterprise concepts. Today he is the Managing Director of “e-bike-mobility“, runs the Hotel Bischofschloss (numerous distinctions as Service Provider of the Year) and is also actively involved in cycle mobility and renewable energy.

Movelo GmbH, Andreas Senger

Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Senger is a board member of makrohaus AG crossmedia Agentur. Together with the company STP Sport & Touristik Promotion - Herbert Ottenschläger - makrohaus AG set up the company Movelo in 2005. Movelo’s business is the touristic development of regions via e-bikes and the organisation of e-bike tours and events. Andreas Senger and Herbert Ottenschläger have been managing directors of Movelo GmbH since December 2005.

He will be reporting on the strategic orientation and visions for the future of the e-bike in tourism.

Scooterplan.net, Mario Wermuth
Rental systems are made up of many individual components that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. An important basic element for an e-bike rental concept is a software solution that can administer the hire process of the bikes and the customer data. Mario Wermuth
Mario Wermuth is the founder and managing director of Scooterplan and worked previously as a software consultant for international corporations, gaining experience in optimising business processes and using software solutions in administration. At Scooterplan he plans and optimises the interaction of what the renting party needs and the right software solution to meet the requirements.

Pfronten Tourismus, Jan Schubert

Jan Schubert is the Tourism Director of Pfronten Tourismus. In this function he played an important part in setting up an e-bike rental system in his region. He will report on the set-up and the pros and contras in the implementation of the selected system.
