The bike route planner Naviki shows how municipalities, regions and enterprises can focus on cycle traffic and how it can optimally underline the advantages for resource conservation. What’s important is that there is always a built-in fun factor that offers visitors and users a noticeable added value. One of the Naviki initiators, Achim Hennecke, explains the most important services Naviki has to offer and how the tourist industry, holiday-makers and the environment can benefit from this.
Achim Hennecke
Achim Hennecke is responsible for the concept and public relations of the German - and soon also for the European-wide - bike route planner Naviki. He is currently involved in an EU-subsidised project that is examining the energy efficiency of cycling via Naviki and how the market can be expanded with this as a tool to improve the attractiveness of cycling. Before working for Naviki the geography graduate worked in public transport marketing.
