Uli Stanciu was one of the founding members of EUROBIKE Traveltalk and caused quite a sensation with his first presentation in 2002 “Bike follows Ski”, with his prediction that mountain biking would take on a rapid development similar to that of skiing. Now, ten years later his summary is: many of his predictions have turned out to be true - transalp has become a new kind of holiday for ten thousands of people and free-riding using cable cars is a whole new trend. Uli Stanciu will also be reporting on his first transalp with an e-bike – and on his vision as to the future of the e-bike.

Uli Stanciu is the founder and publisher of BIKE, the first German magazine for mountain bikers, founder of the Bike Festival, inspiration and race organiser for the “Bike-Transalp”, “Bike Trans Germany” and “Tour-Transalp”. He has also written books, he publishes the internet site www.bike-gps.com and last, but not least, is a bike consultant for tourist regions.
