Eurobike setup fine-tuned for 2018

Eurobike 2018 with a compact, concentrated new concept: Eurobike Media Days moved to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in Tyrol, Austria: Event now geographically and chronologically closer to the flagship trade show

The next Eurobike Media Days will be held at a new location. The Eurobike innovations test event for all manufacturers of complete sports bikes will take place from July 4 – 6, 2018, in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region of Tyrol, Austria. This brings the established media launch event and the leading international bicycle trade exhibition, held from July 8 – 10, 2018, closer together on the map and the calendar. “Messe Friedrichshafen is thus creating a holistic Eurobike package that offers actors in the global bicycle industry many different opportunities to appeal to specific target groups,” said Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann, explaining this look ahead.


Taking logistics aspects into account, as well as the need to maintain the high quality test conditions, the Eurobike organizers have been able to find a new, ideal venue for the Eurobike Media Days 2018, one that is significantly closer to the main event, the Eurobike in Friedrichshafen. From a leisurely bike excursion, to road and mountain bike tours through breathtaking alpine landscapes, and even action-packed descents in a bike park: t he Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis plateau offers top notch testing conditions for mountain bikes and racing bikes as well as excellent logistics parameters for events, and all about only two hours away from Friedrichshafen by car.


The compactness of the new Eurobike concept also represents yet another advantage. As Eurobike head Stefan Reisinger explains, “the Eurobike 2018 concept is completely structured around product presentations, innovations and trends for the coming season. In just one week, manufacturers, dealers and media will have the widest variety of opportunities to take part in a compact, individualized way. With a total optional duration of the Eurobike of about one week, we are optimizing their resource investment and are also creating the perfect space for fresh ideas and unique, independent formats.”

 

Thus, the Eurobike Media Days 2018 will start at about mid-day on Wednesday, July 4 and will end on Friday, July 6 at 4 p.m. This opens a new time window for event participants before the start of the main show on Sunday, July 8, one that they can use for a wide variety of purposes. For example, they can use this time to prepare their stands in Friedrichshafen, conduct additional product presentations and media engagements, or even put on targeted meetings and incentives in the Lake Constance region the day before the show. In parallel, on Saturday, July 7, 2018, the Eurobike will be offering a high level convention and presentation program. OEM manufacturers will have the opportunity to set up closed door meetings and preview events, arrange individual product launches for participating brands, and offer organized rides with specialty retailers and media representatives. To be able to offer interested manufacturers as much quality time with dealers and partners as possible within the framework of the three-day Eurobike 2018, in the future, show organizers will increasingly offer individualized support for event formats that take place before, during and after the show.
