The rush on EUROBIKE continues: already over 1,000 exhibitors

International bicycle trade show EUROBIKE presents Cyprus as a new partner country – An entire industry pedals to the event: 500 bikes available for free use

Cyprus is an appealing destination for cycling enthusiasts. At EUROBIKE 2010 (1-4 September 2010), the island in the eastern Mediterranean is featured as a new partner country with all its advantages for tourists who love to go biking. On Cyprus racing specialists, touring cyclists and mountain bikers will all find just the right exciting challenges in a Mediterranean climate – with a delightful combination of sea, beaches and mountains. "Our new partner country complements the attractive range of offers at Holiday on Bike and Travel Talk at EUROBIKE“, says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann.

EUROBIKE, the international bicycle trade show on Lake Constance, continues to gain in popularity. Stand assignments on the exhibition grounds have nearly been completed and already now – in the month of May – the show has smashed the one-thousand mark: 1,009 companies have booked stands at the show in Friedrichshafen. "In order to meet the large demand for exhibition space, we've expanded Hall A3 to open up additional trade show areas," says EUROBIKE Project Manager Stefan Reisinger.

Uninterrupted growth
EUROBIKE continues to enjoy uninterrupted growth. The show is already extremely close to its targets from the previous year: in 2009, it attracted 1,028 exhibitors from 42 countries (international participation of 68 percent). What's more, with over 100,000 square meters in 14 trade show halls and on the western and eastern open-air grounds, the amount of exhibitor space has soared to a new dimension.

EUROBIKE Demo Day on Tuesday, 31 August 2010
EUROBIKE kicks off on Wednesday, September 1st and ends on Open House Day on Saturday, September 4th. Trade visitors and journalists can get a sneak preview of the latest innovations in the bicycle industry one day before the start of the show on Tuesday, August 31st. Over 100 international exhibitors are expected to be on hand for the fourth Demo Day, where they will present their innovations to industry insiders and make them available for practice rides.

Ride a bike to the show - for free
When it comes to local transport, the trade show team offers the perfect solution in keeping with the theme of the show. In 2010 EUROBIKE will once again make a total of 500 bicycles available at key locations (the airport, railway stations and hotels) for use by trade show visitors, completely free of charge. This will allow visitors and exhibitors to cycle easily and conveniently to the exhibition grounds and back again. The distance from the city center of Friedrichshafen – and thus also from the railway station, ferry docks and a wide range of hotels to the entrance of the exhibition grounds – is only four kilometers. This is precisely the range where bicycles are particularly effective as a means of local transport. Additional locations for borrowing bikes include the camping grounds, exterior parking areas and the railway stop at the airport.
